  • STEPS TO COMPLETING SPECIAL TREATMENT APPLICATION (STC)

    The Veterinary surgeon is required to complete the STC application on behalf of the client.   Attached to the STC must be a copy of the safety data sheet and a covering letter outlining reasons why the equine should be on Founderguard. 

    The VMD recommends that the accompanying letter be as detailed as possible.The application may no longer be completed online.  All applications must be completed and forwarded by post to the VMD, in the case of an emergency they will accept a fax application.

    The application is then forwarded to:

    The VMD reviews the application, then if approved, sends an authorised copy to the Veterinary Surgeon.

    A charge is made by the VMD for each STC.

    The Veterinary surgeon then places an order with one authorised distributor or one of the approved wholesales that the authorised distributor has appointed for this product.

    Special Treatment Certificates may be issued with a number of repeat applications available over a certain period of time. Applications for repeat certificates are free of charge and can be obtained in a matter of minutes using the VMD online system at
